About
The Carlisle Labyrinth at Biddle Mission Park
311 East North Street, Carlisle. Pennsylvania
The Carlisle Labyrinth has been built from the generous donations of funds, time and talent from the people and businesses in the Greater Carlisle area. The Labyrinth is a tool to guide healing, deepen self -knowledge, and empower creativity. Walking the Labyrinth clears the mind and gives insight to the spiritual journey. It urges action. It calms people in the throes of life transitions.
A Sacred Path to Health/Wholeness
This Labyrinth is designed to resemble the one on the floor of Chartres Cathedral in France, built about 1230. It represents a pilgrimage or journey to the divine. It is a tool. It holds no special powers but can help with spiritual experience. It is not a maze. There is only one way to go so as not to confuse but to clarify. The path is clearly marked. It is for all traditions and people of all faiths. It is in the best sense, an experience of unity in the midst of diversity.
